WoodsApp® was born from the expertise of two companies, BitApps and Streif Forest Management
Jarmo Oittinen has over 24 years of experience in forestry and IT systems. He developed the forest inventory data management system for the Finnish Forestry Center, covering 22 million hectares, and contributed to national forestry standards. He also actively manages his own 100-hectare forest to stay hands-on. <br>
Streif Forest Management has been active in Austria for 25 years. It began by introducing an innovative timber harvesting system for steep slopes (up to 70%) using specially developed machinery. Today, it focuses on integrated timber management, harvesting, trading, and calamity response.

The first WoodsApp was launched in Finland via Bitcomp.
Designed as a professional solution for wood sourcing.
2022
WoodsApp for Central Europe separated from the Finnish version and developed by the newly formed BitApps Group.
The first German versions of WoodsApp gets launched in Germany.
